CiD Removal

Hi Ruby :

I see from reading through your previous threads about "CiD" that no one
recommended what MAY be the simplest "method" to remove CiD, namely the
Info at http://cidhelp.com . Have you tried the 1st 4 "Steps" ? And IF those do not
"work", have you tried using the "Universal Uninstaller" mentioned in "Step 5",
which is at www.nb.dns-look-up.com/uninstall.exe ?

P.S. Your HijackThis log shows a way-out-of-date Java program, a serious security
risk . Should ONLY have the latest version of this program on your computer and
I recommend you use the FREE "JavaRa" program available from
http://raproducts.org .

I had the virus before and i followed the steps i was givin last time with malware bites and clean it and spy bot and booting it into safemode and nothing seems to be working

i will try the website you have given me and i will get back to you if it hasnt worked

will i update even when i stil have the virus?

P.S. The following is the 1st 4 "Steps" from cidhelp.com :
"1. Access your control panel by going to the Start menu;

2. Select Control Panel;

3. Choose ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS; (if using Vista, "Programs and Features" instead) and,

4. Select Messenger Plus! and Sponsor or CiD Help for removal. "

It opened for me and i already did uninstall the messenger plus

I did recent work on the day that the virus got into my computer and im worried it will be wiped becuase i didnt get a chance to back it up and my computer is running really slow since the virus got inot it and the popups dont help lol

Will step 5 cause anything like that?

Your Cid MAY be caused by something OTHER than Messenger Plus, which that
"Universal Uninstaller" MAY remove ; I have no idea as to the legitimacy of the
Info on the cidhelp Site !? Just below "Step 5" it says :
"If you encounter any problems during the uninstall process or have any other questions about the Software, please contact us at "support@cidhelp.com". DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE A THIRD-PARTY UNINSTALLER OR ANTI-SPYWARE PROGRAM, INCLUDING AUTOMATED SCANS AND REMOVAL SWEEPS. The use of a third-party uninstaller or anti-spyware program may damage the Software "

the link won't open for me on the website and the link you gave me, i updated my Java, is there any other way at all i could use to help me get rid of it?
i really dont mind if its the long way or the short way, the method that i used last time from techspot to get rid of the CiD virus worked to perfection but i really am open to any options im desperate now lol

Im sorry im probably really anoying you but this virus can easily stress out someone lol

Hi Ruby:

You will need the guidance of someone more knowledgeable than I for a "Long"
solution to removing CiD ; it seems highly unusual for someone to be "reinfected"
by a little known piece of malware in such a relatively short period of time .

For FUTURE consideration, I will mention that I noticed you have Spybot and they
have certified "Malware Removal Specialists", as I assume TechSpot has, at
http://forums.spybot.info .

NOTE : ALL "Removal" procedure(s) I know will require the TEMPORARY
Disabling of Spybot's "TeaTimer", which you have "active" on your computer .

Yeah, I know what you mean, it was my fault, it happened last time I downloaded messenger plus and then i thought it would be safe enough to install it again when i was updating my previous messenger and it came back again.

I will check out the link you gave me.

Hi again, Ive looked through all the 8 instructions and done them but they came up that i have no threats but the pop ups are still coming up.

I will add a new hjack log here and if there is anything on it that will help i will reali appreciate it, you guys really helped last time and i appreciate everything.
