If I got a usb hub that plugs directly into the wall (i-rocks) could I charge an iPod nano without first connecting the hub to the computer? Basically, plug the hub in the wall and the iPod into the hub. Would that charge the iPod?

    anybody know?

I don`t know the answer to your question, but why don`t you just try it and see.

If you don`t fancy trying that, then maybe you could contact i-rocks and ask them.

    Regards Howard :)

Some hubs stay on if they're independently powered. Although mine needs the PC to turn on once then it stays on until i unplug it from the wall..
