I seem to be havin freezing problems wit Bf Veitnam

  1. ok i hope u can help this is the problem

    When i first built my computer i install the drivers for ati then i went and installed bf veitnam when i first played it online i did not get any freezing or lock ups now i do for some reason once i get in a server 2 to 3 minutes in i get a lockup it freezes and i get a VPU error message from ati

    here's My pc Spec's
    Amd Athlon 2600+ 1.7 GHz something around that can't rember
    512 Mb of Ram
    Ati Radeon Sapphire Vid Card
    9800 Xt Pro

    Assuming that you have made no recent changes to your system (adding new hardware or software for example), and this problem has suddenly popped up, I'd recommend the following steps:

    If any step below works, you can stop and skip the remaining steps.

    1. Check the BF vietnam website for the lastest game patches.
    2. Check www.ati.com for the latest drivers for your video card.
    3. Check your motherboard's website for chipset driver updates.
    4. Check your motherboard's website for a bios update.

    5. run www.memtest.org on your ram for a couple hours.
    6. go to www.maxtor.com and download powermax to diagnose your hard drive.
    7. Run a "repair" install on Windows XP
