I am going to try everything before doing a complete re-install because I have no idea what software to save and what to lose. She will have to come over and look at it to determine that.

At least I am able to do something instead of just sit here and look pretty ! lol lol

This is where putting your System Specs information in your Profile helps (but anyway, you said not your computer).

    Well I'm done !

    Edit:

Also instead of replying to yourself (causing excessive emails on all members attached to the thread!) just edit your last post, if that is still the last post in the thread,( ie like this one presently)

    We try to help...

Suggest you go to Sony site, under support for that model. Check on the various steps for the recovery console (Didn't realize you reached recovery options earlier via a download. Tipped off when you said all advanced options appeared except repair)

Kimsland, Sorry if I have caused excessive emails to other members including yourself but my experience on forums is to get your info in front of members as often as possible because like you I am sure they are also attached to numerous other threads and can get lost in the shuffle. I am sincere in my apology, I will do my best. Thank you.

LookinAround, Thank you also for all your help today and last night. I am going to try to run most of all the suggestions printed here again and see what I can come up with. I will post updates as they arise.

    Thank you all,

    Mark

    Kimsland,

Looks like I will be doing a complete reinstall as you suggested in your original post. (Thank you by the way)

I was hoping to not have to lose everything on the drive but my friend said today that there is nothing life threatening on here so wipe it clean.

I will get to that later tonight and will update when finished.

    Thank you,

    Mark

p.s. I DO NOT think you are horrible in any way, your the bomb!

Reloaded Vista with no issues at all and returned everything to default.

Thanks to everyone that helped me figure out my issue.

    Peace!
