My Internet Explorer is going crazy. I have never had any problems before and I'm a bit clueless. Please help!
    Thanks

    Hi silverdeb,

First of all be specific when describing symptoms, "going crazy" is not what I consider specific. A good example of specific would be like this "when I search using the google toolbar internet explorer redirects me to a different website."

The first thing we need to do is get you a different browser since IE has been compromised, it is the least safe browser from a security standpoint anyways.

    First
Go HERE and download/install firefox. While going through cleaning up your system please use firefox. Only use internet explorer if one of the instructions requires you.

    Next
Please have a read here-> Is your system infected? Read this before Cleaning or Formatting

If you decide to clean your system please follow these Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions and post back in this thread with the requested logs. There should be at least 3.

    1)AVG log
    2)Combofix log
    3)Hijackthis log (Step 15)

This thread is for the use of silverdeb only. Please don't post your own virus/spyware problems in this thread. Instead, open a new thread in our security and the web forum.
