iBook won't turn on

hi all!
dont know much about computers... im in india and left my laptop on and plugged into power over nite when i woke up the screen was blank the fan was running external harddrive light was off. so i dissconcted it and it eventually went quiet (the fan) then pushed the on button, it lit up, motor starts running, fan comes on but nothing else on screen? battery light is working. any ideas whats happend? a power surge over nite done something?? thanks for replys!

If the iBook is still under warranty, have it repaired. If it is not under warranty, take it to a repair shop
