IE 6 very slow startup 1 to 2 minutes

I'm running Win 2k Pro & IE 6. IE6 takes 2 to 3 minutes to initialize & then connects fine. I'm going to attach Hijack log and I would appreciate any help.

Likely your hard drive is failing, particularly if it is a Maxtor or Samsung hard drive.

IE6 slow

Wouldn't other programs also be slow?? IE is the only one that's that's having a problem. I've defragged & run Spinrite & done timing tests & everything looks fine. Once I connect to the net IE is as fast as it's always been.

Clear your history, cache and cookies then defrag your HDD, uninstall any toolbars you have installed and try again. If it's still the same, then get over to the Security and the Web forum to check for malware.

Consider using an alternative web browser to IE, such as Firefox or Opera.

That is definitely SLOW.
But if this were common, wouldn't we see thousands of such reports every week?
I would like to see what happens if you do a clean install, because I think you have a software issue.
