My laptop is about 3 months old and have had no issues until a couple of days ago when IE7 began freezing up on me. I have XP Professional and have not yet installed SP3 but I see nothing in the description of SP3 that would lead me to think the install would correct my problem.

I have used crtl/alt delete to end "search glow" and when the pop of 'do you want to report this probem to MS' shows, I say yes and report the problem. Their resolution is that I need to check for virus/spyware or make sure my updates are current. I have Windows Live OneCare and it tells me that I have nothibg harmful on my computer.

I have loaded no new programs within the the last couple of days other than an Active X control from Adobe.

Do you have any suggestions as to why this has occurred and what I can do to correct it? Thanks.
