My hijackthis log file is attached. I ran most of the programs here, but my computer likes to shut down in the middle of adaware running.

I would STRONGLY urge you to install XP-SP2!

Things were good for a few hours, then my computer spontaneously restarted and when it booted back up, there was a "this system has recovered from a serious error"

I tried to go back to the restore point I made just after I got rid of all that crap, but it wouldn't let me. Please help. :/
 
Hello and welcome to Techspot.

It is possible that your restarting problem is caused by a ram problem, or some other issue.

Go HERE and follow the instructions.

If that doesn`t help. zip 5 or 6 minidumps together, and attach them here.
