IE8 runs slow

I have an old computer that I reformatted (wxp home sp3) and I upgraded to IE8 and the internet runs very slow if it changes pages at all. The computer has a 2/333 mhz processor, could this be the problem? The microsoft site says that IE8 only requires a 233 mhz processor.

It's more likely to be not enough RAM installed. If you have 256 or 512MB it will struggle, if you can get 1GB installed it would make a big difference to your pc's overall speed.
* Also you could try a more lightweight web browser, such as Firefox 1.5 or 2.0. (You might have it on a Magazine CD from a few years ago, or it must be available to download, somewhere.

Hello, your problem is likely the fact that your running windows xp on a 333mhz processor. Im very surprised it even runs at all lol.
