  1. Iexplore.exe memory size (steps done, still the same)

    Hello everyone,

Since a couple of days my internet explorer works very slow or shows 404's because it takes too long to load a page (I think).
I did the 8 steps and posted the logs in this thread. Can anyone help me with this? Nothing seems to be strange as far as i can tell.

I'm not sure, but it may have started when i used a cheap USB stick (burger king sold cheap usb's in the shape of a coca-cola beverage) as vista readyboost. I removed it once and put it in later and it gave me a BSOD :(

    Thank you in advance,

    Best,
    DMR

The slow internet was apparently due to a faulty modem. it works much better now!

I do however see that iexplore.exe always uses memory over 150.000K, sometimes over 200.000

    is this normal?

Thanks in advance for any advice on this

Yeah there is info all over the net and many people whinging about how much it uses by the way of resources...Firefox is no longer the biggest resource hog!! Or if you want a real lightweight I've found the latest Opera to run incredibly well on a 300Mhz 96MB RAM laptop!!
