Seagate has the longest warranty (5 years), and in our experience, is the most reliable. If you are building a real gaming machine, get a 10,000 rpm SCSI drive.
Western Digital is second. There is no third place, though you might consider Samsung, Toshiba, Hitachi, Maxtor, Fujitsu, or Trigem.

Hello im building a computer and I have most of the parts found. I need but one item, the hard drive. Any help?

Get two identical drives and put in a raid card set up to mirror the drives.

This way if in 5 years the raid card goes phut and you can't get a duplicate then you'll be able to access your data - try that with striping!

If one of your drives goes phut then you have all your data on the second.

Since the OP hasn't really given any guidance regarding use, size, or speed of the hard drive in question, we can go on naming random hard drives or RAID arrays until we hit one the OP likes I suppose.
