    Im on Windows Vista.
I have not changed anything or installed anything on my computer recently
My computer has run without a problem since I got it.

I turned it on this morning, and I got the BSoD

    STOP: 0x0000007E (oxFFFFFFC0000005, 0xFFFFFA60009B62700, 0xFFFFFA60019FC648, 0xFFFFFA60019FC020)

    SRTSPL64.SYS - Address FFFFFA6009B62700 base at FFFFFA6009B0F000, DateStamp 48ed2500

I have tried reading up on it. I cant attempt to start from latest configuration, because when I turn it on, holding F8 just kind of pauses its turning on., I held for an entire minute, and nothing happened. When I let go, it just continued in its normal startup process.

I can open it in safemode, but system restore wont work, it says it isnt working properly.

System recovery wont work in safe mode either

I cant turn on my computer in normal mode, it just gets stuck on the blue screen

    Hi,

This error seems to be caused by Symantec Endpoint Security. You could try uninstalling this from Safe Mode and then reinstalling or using a different product.

I am not a big fan of Symantec products myself but if it does the job you need a re-install may help.

Just for reference there seems to be a lot of problems with Symantec Endpoint 11 and Windows Vista.

    Thanks and good luck!

Thanks a million. It worked. It took me a minute to look up how to remove symantec, but it wasnt hard.

    Again, I really appreciate it
