Im having some trouble with my xp 2100

ok so i got an athlon xp 2100 and i put it into my epox 8k3ae motherboard. when i get into windows, i can only stay in for a bout a few seconds before my computer freezes. i have not overclocked it and i loaded the optimized defaults. what can i do so that i wont have problems with it?

What are your system specs? That might help me to help you. Try a reinstalling Windows XP.
