Increase Mouse Polling Rate

I just got my brand new 2200 DPI gaming mouse but I've run into one problem. The windows polling rate is holing it's performance back. I can't make use of the 2200 DPI if the mouse is running at the default 125 Hz Polling Rate. I've looked and run the tutorials for increasing the polling rate but they say there is an error as I attempt to patch. I play competitively and need the higher DPI. Does anyone know how I can get the polling rate set higher?

Which mouse? I can change this with the drivers that came with the mouse (Logitech G5).

Never mind as a DPI of 1600 is already very sensitive for a CAL sniper. I really don't need a 2200 DPI if I'm Awping somebody from mid.
