Infiniate loop

I have a dell studio 1555 with Windows 7. I make videos with my digital camera and upload to my computer when I want to play videos it will bring up the windows media player as normal and then it normal says opening then an error message saying that there is an infinite loop I have have check the driver and it says its up to date also I dont get an error message when I watch videos on the internet. how can I go about fixing this problem. It could be a matter of codecs. First try another media player, preferably the versatile VLC.

Glad to hear it, though not surprised. I'd stick to VLC if I were you. It plays practically everything, including broken files, partial downloads and even RARs. You can set it as the default media player, so that it starts playing when you double click a video file.
