Hey so i got a new monitor and i take my computer with me when i go to my parents house (divorced) So normally when i take my computer from one house to the other i have to set the resolution to 800x600 before i leave or else the resolution doesn't work with the monitor. Well i forgot to do that, now, after the windows xp loading screen my monitor goes blank and says input not supported. I tried booting in safe mode and changing the resolution but when i hit apply it doesn't save the resolution change...

The monitor is an Acer AL2016w
Graphics card is an XFX 8600 gt
    Running windows xp professional
If you need any other computer specs just let me know.
    Thanks!

    Hi

The easiest way out of this is to start in safe mode and remove the video driver in device manager, then reboot and let windows reinstall the driver, by default it will set it to 800x 600.

    Regards
