Inspiron 9200 USB OS?

  1. Hey i Have a Inspiron 9200 and a 40 gb external usb drive, does anyone know if its capable of running an OS through usb?
    lol i would find out myself but im in the process of bypassing the BIOS loggin, (i bought it second hand) and i do know how i can short circuit a chip and erase the passwords:p so does anyone know if it can? id really likle to experiment with versions of Linux..Help would be appreciated:D

    If you set your first boot device as usb device, it should work - this is done in bios.

    ok but what if i wanna be able to revert back to my normal hard drive OS (windows) would i still be able to do that safely?
