    Way to go apple! A bug that should have been well known exposes your updates a little early.

    I wouldn't recommend installing the current iOS 5 beta, it really is a very early beta and really meant only for developers.

    On the other hand, if you get a holf of a Lion install disco go for it and install on your main machine the current release is almost a release candidate and i've read it is very stable.
  4. As an iOS developer, I will tell you that you will hose yourself if you do this. In two weeks there will be an update to iOS for developers and I am sure this will be corrected by then. If, after four weeks, you haven't installed the next version of the beta iOS 5, your phone will go into deactivated mode and can only be activated by installing the next beta of iOS (which you won't be able to b/c of the fix).

    This is standard for the iOS beta releases, so...

    Yeh, because nobody has ever been able to install a beta Windows OS without being a developer...
