    Hi

    I am a home user without any knowledge of linux. Currently I have a xp desktop without any cd writer but with a usb drive facility. I am buying a new samsung laptop which comes pre loaded with a dos. How can I install ubuntu or any really easy and good linux system. Please help in easy steps.

    Read my guide below this link, for a step by step guide to installing Ubuntu. At the bottom of the guide I have also included another guide to put the Linux image on a USB flash drive.
