  1. I’ve read about the problem Drdeputy was having with the Lexmark Optra T614N and I was eager to find step by step instructions on “how to” install a network printer from scratch. I have two at work but they were installed by someone that is no longer there and I will be called to do it in the near future, I do not want to share and install a printer with a NIC, not only it would use more bandwidth but that is not the right way to do it. I’ve searched the WEB and so far I have found nothing, Can you spell it for me.
    Thank you

If you're installing the printer in Windows, install it as a local printer, using TCP/IP port instead of USB. Enter the printer's IP address and that should be pretty much it.
