Installing a new hard drive and Windows 7 (laptop)

My friends laptop hd took a dive today, I know that physically replacing the HD is easy (already taken the old one out), I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to run into any issues installing the OS on the fresh drive. Any info will be greatly appreciated.
