Will be installing a EVGA GeForce 6200. It will be replacing a bad ATI 9800 Pro.
The new card will be install in a Dell Demension 8300.
    Questions:
    1) Do I need an anti-static wrist band, or something? How should I "ground"
    myself?
    2) Before installing the new card, should I (do I) uninstall the ATI programs and
    drivers.
    a) This is a side track question: If i uninstalled the ATI programs and drivers,
and DIDN'T install a new card in the AGP slot, could I view and use the
    monitor?
Thanks for you time and help.
    Sincerely,

You can ground yourself by contact with the inside of the case. And yes, uninstall the ATI drivers first.

As for your "sidetrack question" mavic517, you could still use the monitor after uninstalling the drivers by plugging to the motherboard monitor output socket.
