Hello,

I am trying to install a new video card Geforce 9500 GT. My current computer has an on board video chip. I think I need to disable the on board video first but I am not sure how. I checked the Bios and I can disable it from there but not sure which one.

Gives me 3 options

serial port A
Parallel
diskette

My device manager only detects the standard VGA graphics adapter atm. Any Ideas

Attached is my computer spec's is this card compatible

I tried to install the drivers from the CD no luck

Is this video card compatible with my computer ??? Geforce 9500 Gt = hp dc 7700

"I tried to install the drivers from the CD no luck"...

What exactly happened when you tried to install the drivers? Did you get something like "no compatible hardware found"? Does the video card fit into your computer? Can you install the card into the proper slot?

I had no problem installing the video card into the PCI slot When I tried to run the CD it just freeze when I try to install the drivers.

Go to the Nvidia support website and download and install the video driver from there. There may even be an automatic detection feature on the support site, that will detect the video card and point you to the right video driver
