just wanted to ask need a really good motherboard is Intel’s DX58SO motherboard the best one out there or even better one, i dont mind if its expensive and if anyone could recommend one and which memory would be best, think of going with the Radeon HD 5870 Hexad - 2 GB GDDR5 - PCI-Express 2.0 (21161-10-40R) or would GeForce GTX 480 be better

I would suggest that you get an X58 motherboard manufactured by Gigabyte or Asus instead of the Intel. One reason is that the Intel will have a locked BIOS and not allow you to OC.

    I would recommend this mobo.

As for the GPU, both the GTX 480 and HD 5870 are great. I think the 2GB HD 5870 that you've mentioned and the GTX 480 are identically priced.
