Intel's Oak Trail platform launches, Cedar Trail to follow

  1. Intel has announced that the Intel Atom platform, codenamed Oak Trail, is now available and will ship in devices starting next month. Mass production for the platform began in November 2009, and now Intel says it has racked up over 35 innovative tablet and hybrid designs from multiple companies, including Evolve III, Fujitsu Limited, Lenovo, Motion Computing, Razer, and Viliv.

    Still prefer AMD, waiting for benchmarks and for 32(28)nm chips from AMD.

    Which chips from AMD are you talking about? I don't believe AMD has anything slated for this segment this year, besides whats already been released.

    mosu is probably referring to AMD's Wichita -the 28nm die shrink for Zacate. It might be getting ready for baking but it's not exactly a certainty that it will launch by the end of the year.
