Internet/downloads stops when playing a game

    Hi,

I've been experiencing this problem for a few days now, everytime a play a game (I've tried it with Warcraft 3, Starcraft 2, Dragon Age and DMC4), single player or online, windowed or fullscreen: my downloads stops (be it torrents or downloads from my browser - or basically my internet, atleast that which is not part of the game, shuts off). I can play online games fine though.

I even tried to play a game in windowed mode and every time I make the game my active window, i watch my download speed dwindle to zero and up again as I minimize the game. This happens even in single player games in warcraft 3.

Any ideas to point me in the right direction?

Ive tried updating both my wireless card and graphics card. I turned off windows firewall and my anti-virus. No malwares too. OS is Windows 7 64.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've searched the net for similar problems though i did find a few people experiencing the same problem, no resolutions have been posted. I'm contemplating an OS reinstall, but just as a last resort.

    Specs are as follows:

    Phenom II X3 720
    Radeon 5770
    Linksys WMP54G
    MSI 785GM-E65

does the game slow down at all? how much are you getting from your ISP? bandwith? use of resources?

Solved the issue by changing the wireless channel in my AP. Thanks for the reply though.
