Internet Explorer and Firefox redirects to apype.com or smartwebsearch as homepage

  1. please help me. i downloaded this program called youtube downloader and although i have already uninstalled youtube downloader, it left me a malware that i cannot seem to get rid of no matter what i do. everytime i open my internet explorer and firefox, it automatically redirects to smartwebsearch or apype.com. i want to get rid of this problem because it is so annoying. please anyone help me, i would really appreciate it. thank you.

    Please follow these steps: Preliminary Virus and Malware Removal.

    NOTE: If you already have any of the scanning programs on the computer, please remove them and download the versions in these links.

    When you have finished, leave the logs for review in your next reply .
