I'm about to format and re-install my computer, and I'm hoping to save Favourites from IE in the process.

The problem is that the profile they are stored in seems to be corrupt and so windows can't create the user environment, so switches me to a temporary profile.

It seems fair to assume then that all my favourites for that account will be stored somewhere in some file or other, and I'm hoping I can use that file to get my links back.

Can anybody tell me if this is possible, and if so, where do I find what I'm looking for?

never mind. Just me being thick.

copy and paste from c:\documents and settings\%user%\favorites

to the equivekant path for the user you are currently on.

You really have to be EXTREMELY cautious, when you start talking to yourself.
Surfing the web can be detrimental to your health (and sanity)... :p
