heh. I`m sure there`s a few more of us out there.. somewhere. :) I personally only know one female that`s interested in computers and she`s dating someone.. I`m sure some more will popup sometime. :D

[Door to Door salesman voice]Don't suppose we could interest you in the TechSpot UD Cancer Research team?[/Door to Door salesman voice]

Team TechSpot, the site URLs for the client have changed but I'll find the new URLs and post them. Its just a client that uses spare CPU cycles to do some rather worthy research. At least consider it ;)

I use folding@home.. if you have a team on there I`ll join. :) I have seti too, but I don`t use it because I think folding is more important than seti. :d plus having one going at a time is about all my computer can handle. :D

Seems you have got quite a large welcoming party.
I might as well jump on the wagon and say hello and welcome and all that as well.

That's because she is a girl.

I expect there are many here who have never even seen a real girl before.... ;)

I've seen studies that "prove" women are both disinterested and discouraged in the computing field. Something like 15% of current IT jobs are occupied by women.

rick, that`s probably true.. most women don`t care enough about computers to work with them all day.. even though they came make a decent amount of money doing it. :d
