    Pleeeease help!
    On boot up, I get the "invalid boot.ini file" message. I found the steps on how to use the recovery console to rebuild the file through bootcfg but the problem is, when it looks for windows installations on the system, it says 1 and that it's on c:\. Strange, cause I don't have the os on c:\- its on e:\
    I can't seem to get it to look at e:\ but perhaps I'm doing something wrong.

    Can anyone help please!

    Copy this.

    [boot loader]
    timeout=30
    default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
    [operating systems]
    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP" /fastdetect

    Right click
    My Computer,
    properties
    advanced
    startup and recovery
    click on the edit button
    paste the file
    apply.

    close interface

    go to msconfig

    verify that boot ini is there.

    Check to path to enure its accurate and found.

    Um, not possible. I cant boot into win.
    But I have since detected the winxp install on the e:/ drive with the bootcfg /rebuild command. Now when I go to boot up, I have 2 os selections- one says Microsoft Windows XP Pro and the other just says e:/. I've tried to boot both but the screen just hangs ie. the countdown to auto boot stops but the screen remains frozen.
    AAAHHHHHH!!!!! Don't wanna reinstall!!!!!
