"invisible" XP folders

[Grasshopper]

In "Properties" my Temp Internet Files folder says I have 347 folders (this increases daily). I cannot see them in Explore. So I cannot delete them.

I've tried using Tools to show hidden files. I tried Safe Mode and logging in as an adminstrator and some other things.

I would appreciate any suggestions you can offer.

Thanks for the lightning fast response. I am using a dial-up connection so downloading the file you suggested will take a while.

But I am curious to know why I can't see those folders.

Seems to be an XP quirk.

Sorry about the dialup,that can be very painful.If you ever get DSL,you`ll wonder how you survived with dialup.
