I have and Iomega HDD120 External Desktop FireWire/USB 2.0 Drive, and recently it just stopped working. The other day, I got on my pc, and tried to load up my harddrive, and as soon as I powered it on, it started to make a clicking/grinding sound. So, I went to Iomega, called them, and looked at the FAQ, and it said to immediately power it down, as leaving it on could strip the drive. So, I did. I then went to their data recovery site, and they said that it would cost $5,000 to retrieve my data. I don't have that kind of money, is there anyway that I could retrieve it for less money? This has everything of mine since I was 5 years old, so it is really important to me!

    Thanks in advance,
    -Cameron
