IRC chat.......how too?

I haven't used anything other than bare forums for years.
I don't much care for IM either, I had icq, before aol got'em.

I've kept my head in silicon sand for too long but now I don't
know a thing about IRC or where to start.
I did search TS but didn't find a, er, newbie guide..
Anybody care to tutor me so I can join in that part of TS.

Yup that seem to be my day today...
Got on to the 3dspot channel.....with pIRC
Not sure what to think about things in there.
I don't think many pc probs get worked out..

It is more a place to sit back and shoot the bull. If someone comes in with a problem, and people are around, we will definately try to help out. But right now it's always the same group of people in there, so we just carry on. Come in and have a good time
