  1. I have this Dell Laptop inspiron 6400 laptop running windows XP with 2GB ram. Recently I gave it to my daughter to use it.Unfortunately all but 1 USB port all gone. Only one USB 1.1 is working. But Its Firewire IEEE 1394 is working. Is there anyway I can use my USB hub to connect to this port So that external Keyboard and mouse can be connected?

    Thanks

Yes onboard mouse and keyboard is working Thanks , but USB controllers are working, its USB ports that are damaged. Their pin covers came out broken, very bad quality parts from dell.

That I don't know. But the adapter is cheap enough so you don't have much to lose by trying.
