  1. Ive had my hdd for about a year now and never had these kinds of problems until now. Twice my computer has undergone a serious crash while installing two different games. Each time my computer locked up when I restarted, Win7 runs very slow Windows explorer isnt responding for 10 minutes or not at all. The first time I used system restore which didnt help this made me think my hdd was corrupt I reformated, all is well until I installed another game which ive had for years this time system restore seems to work but couldnt this mean there is something wrong with my hdd?

    Hi,
What is the Hard disk type?
How long have you used it for?
Did the system warn you using S.M.A.R.T system?
Please answer that and we will get a basis of what you problem could be.
    Thank you

It is a Western Digital 1.5TB hdd. Ive used it for a little over a year. No mention of S.M.A.R.T system. I did some searching and i tried a program called CrystalDiskInfo it says my hdd is good but i dont know how accurate this program is. Thanks for the reply
