Is this a good mobo?

All amd64 cpus have a hypertransport. So basically any socket 939 cpu should work fine. I used a 3000+ cpu.

Yes, regular ram is non-ecc and unbuffered, that's what I have, corsair value select cas 2.5 ram.

It means you should put two sticks of ram in the first two slots to run ddr400 dual channel. If you fill all four slots it should still work at ddr400 if you have a venice core amd processor(venice supposedly fixed the four memory slot problem), but winchester(the current cpus at it's release) and older might have to run four ram sticks at ddr333.

That psu should work, but I wouldn't recommend it. You can get a better psu for only a slightly higher price.

Great, I'm ordering a Venice core processor, and I suppose it doesnt matter,
as I have ddr333 anyway.

Thanks for all the help, I hope it wasn't too much of a burden, I'll post again if I have any trouble.

Hmm, that's odd it no longer is at newegg. You could get it elsewhere, like at zipzoomfly.

I guess you could get a vnf4(nforce 4, but not ultra) instead like this.

Or you could look for other boards, although most nforce 4 ultra boards are a good bit more money than the vnf4ultra.
Here are two ones that seem good though, both ~$100usd.

can anybody tell me what the FRONT SIDE BUS does on a mobo. if thats even what the FSB means

Newegg sometimes ships a vnf4ultra even if you buy the vnf4, so it doesn't really matter, I'm going for either one really.

Not sure what FSB is, but it is an acronymn for front side bus.
You just want something with a higher number :)
