Is this card agp8 compatible?

Hello. I have an msi geforce4 ti 4600 AGP4 and a PCCHIPS m848a v2.1 that is AGP8 and uses 1.5 volt agp cards. Would the graphics card be compatible with this motherboard and would it do any damage if it wasnt. Thanks.

I think it'll work. IIRC agp 4x uses 1.5v and is the same slot as 8x. The problem can be if you'd use a 8x card (uses .8 or 1.5v) in a 3.3v 2x slot, 3.3 is too much voltage for them.

Theres a page on the pcchips website that gives agp compatibility specs and a geforce4 ti4600 agp4 is on that list so it definatly is compatible.
