Someone asked me this question but i do not know the answer.Need help!

When a file is copied to the appropriate area for writing to a CD or DVD, and the copy is then shredded, the original file is corrupted. He has never understood the reason for this, and it happens with every shredder he has tried. Recently use glary utilities, the problem also exists. This is under Windows XP Home Edition SP2 originally, and now SP3.

When refer to CD writing using the Windows XP function - not a separate utility. He has not found it happening with files copied to any other area of the machine.
Does anyone come across such a situation?
    Thanks in advance.
