Hi, I had xp running on my pc. I had created a user (password protected). There was a little problem and the vendor formatted my c: . The my document folder was in e:. Now i am not able to access those files. I tried to create another user with same name and password., still acces to taht folder is being denied. please help me

I think you need to login from an administrator account and take 'ownership' of that folder and re-define all the access privileges.

Go to Safe Mod and log in as Administrator then try to open the folder. If it does not work then try to change the folders permissions.

can u tell how to change permissions of any folder?
