Issue with Java on Windows 7

    Hello All,

    I have an issue with my Java after a virus clean up .. My browsers(Firefox & IE) will not detect it and when I try to run certain programs it states "This program needs Java Run-Time-Environment (JRE) 1.5 or above to run.

    I already have the latest one installed straight from the java website and tried re-installing several times however nothing seems to solve it.

    Please help!

    uninstall the java plug-in and reinstall it
