Itunes 9 on vista

I have been trying to upgrade to itunes 9 as I have a new ipod that requires it. When I downoaded it, it gave me "not a valid signature". So I uninstalled itunes and quicktime and this time it downloaded but the setup.exe wouldnt open. I've tried downloading from various places, Ive tried it through IE8, Safari, Firefox but nothing seems to work. I'm so frustrated!

I'm not exactly computer savvy so I have no idea what is going wrong.

If anyone has come across this and knows how to fix it, I would really appreciate it.

You need to either be logged on as an administrator or launch the installer with administrator rights. Do a right-click on the installer that you've downloaded & chose "Run as administrator".
