Jumper free mode of asus P$SGX-MX

    this is my first post here. I want to overclock my celeron 1.7Ghz CPU. It can be done in jumperfree mode. but I dont know how to go to jumperfree mode. dose it means that remove the CLRTC1 jumper?

    There's no jumperfree jumper listed in the manual, which leads me to believe that it's not a part of your board, i.e. it's an automatic feature. There's also no CPU multiplier or speed setting jumpers listed.

    Have you tried overclocking using the BIOS? The settings are in the Advanced Menu section.

    yes I have tried that. But system halts and after restart I have to change te settings to 1700 MHz them again runs

    I have searched via Yahoo and Google and can find no useful info on the jumperfree mode.

    Maybe your best bet would be to contact Asus.
