Keyboard and mouse not working on new machine

By kristay

  1. I've got a brand new computer running windows XP, the mouse will not work or any other mice, and the keyboard has only a few keys operating. Other keyboards seem to have a similar issue.
Tried different usb ports, same issue.

The major issue is that I can't type the registration # to boot windows, which makes me wonder how I can even get into the system to potentially fix the issue.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks.

If its brand new from a shop, take it back.

If it's an emachine, return it and get your money back- they're garbage.
