Keyboard key needs to be pressed hard to work

    There is a problem with a friend's laptop keyboard. It is said that he had to press on the keyboard key hard for it to register to the computer. Upon removing the key cap, pressing on the gasket and also exhibits the same problem as well. In comparison, a key without the problem require very little force on the gasket for the key to register.

    Is the problem with the gasket itself or underneath?

    Laptop keyboards are easy to replace... and not too expensive
