I recently reset my HP laptop Windows 10 Home (W8.0 when I got it 2nd hand) to factory settings. Along the way it asked if I wanted to use another keyboard & I said no. The built in keyboard is not inputting letters/numbers typed, I'm forced to use a USB keyboard. Is there a key combination to fix it? I've been trying for weeks, TIA

I tried a different USB keyboard because the built in one does NOT have a NumLock key, the link I was using mentioned holding down rthe right Shift key for 8 seconds, that don't work. ANY suggestions???? Please, ANY???

Well, I've found out either a MS update and/or a dead battery could be the reason the built in keyboard don't/won't work. The battery is NOT removable & I'm NOT going thru the MS updates, darn. Still open to suggestions
