to anyone who can help? As soon as windows xp starts, these letters do not type for some bit of time a,s,d,f and some others.. I have to furiously type all different letters before it finally starts to work. I ran anti virus and ended up reinstalling xp. once the letters start to work it keeps working... do you think this is a problem in the bios since i reinstalled xp? what do you think is the best free anti virus also? How can i totally erase my hd and do a clean reinstall of xp. also how can i type this key " \ " in cmos? thanks

    1) Have you tried a different keyboard?

    2) If you you're using a wireless keyboard have you tried one with a cable?
