kmixer.sys BSOD Please Help Me Out...

    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-7VAX-A (5 PCI, 1 AGP, 3 DDR DIMM, Audio, LAN)
    RAM: 512 MB PC3200 DDR SDRAM
    Video Card: ATI Radeon 9800 Pro
    Sound Card: Creative SB Live! Sound Card
    OS: Windows XP SP2

    I mostly get these when i'm playing games, I can't tell what its really telling me and I am unable to understand the minidumps... I really hope someone here will be able to help me cause its becoming very annoying. I thank you for any Help you can give me, I don't know what other information I can give here, ask if you need to know more about something. Thanks for the help.

    Hi,

    The root cause is memory corruption. The memory corruption can be caused by faulty ram or software driver error. I think kmixer is the victim and not the culprit. From your module list, I cannot figure out which device driver is in error.

    Suggestion
    1. Check the temperature of the CPU and make sure that it is not overheat (ie temperature < 60C)
    2. Reseat the memory stick to another memory slot
    3. Downclock the ram
    4. Clean the dust inside the computer case
    5. Make sure that the ram is compatible to the motherboard

    If it still crashes, diagnostic which memory stick is faulty
    Take out one memory stick. If windows does not crash, the removed memory stick is faulty.
