    Hello,

I am having trouble with my Dell Laptop (insert long story).

I have been trying unsuccessfully to create a knoppix boot disc.

I ran a search of Google Groups and came across an earlier thread on this group advising that the disc had to be created through imgburn after downloading the knopppix files for the computer to see the executable files. The previous questioner apparently was smarter than me because he replied 'no problem'.

I, on the other hand, do not understand how to make this boot disc in this fashion.

Part of the problem is I am working on a Mac and the subtleties of file manipulation, etc. are defeating me

I would appreciate a very simple set of instructions to help me get on the right track.

    Thanks in advance.

Yea, the Mac is not so simple to do this stuff.

I found it simpler to just order the CD and wait for its arrival
(even at ground shipping, the CD was cheaper that the shipping, but I was happy
    to await the CD).

The BIG issue for boot disks is writing the MBR and pointing to the program to be
    loaded.

    Good advice well taken

    OK den,

I'll just order the CD cause it looks like the Mac is gona be winning this round.

    Thanks,
