Kubuntu or Ubuntu

    I use Ubuntu now, but what is Kubuntu. Are these the same thing?

    Kubuntu is the KDE based distribution of Ubuntu. It's the same thing but with a KDE desktop instead of a Gnome/unity desktop. I believe you can install KDE through the repos in ubuntu, so you should not have to reinstall.
